  3. What are the benefits of a Modular Home?
Modular Home construction takes a fraction of the time as a site-built home, and may often cost much less. Once the price of the home has been established, it does not change. 4. How long does it take to construct a Modular Home?
On average, most Modular Homes can be built in the factory in 2-4 weeks. Because Modular Homes are built indoors, weather delay is never a problem. From the time the home arrives on site, it takes approximately another 2-4 weeks for the builder to complete the home.
  5. Won't my Modular Home look just like every other Modular Home?
There is a common misconception that all Modular Homes look the same. Our manufacturers use computer aided design programs to draw plans to your specifications or to modify a basic Modular Home structure to suit your needs and aesthetic preferences. This means that each home is unique and unless you were to see the house delivered, upon completion you wouldn't know it was a Modular Home.
  6. Are Modular Homes less expensive than site-built homes?
There are a few ways in which you may save money in the construction of your Modular Home. Modular Homes sometimes cost less per square foot than a similar site-built home. Modular Homes are very energy-efficient, which helps reduce costs. For the most part, Modular Homes take less time to build than a regular, site-built home which means you save on the cost of construction.
  7. Is a Modular Home the same as a mobile home?
A Modular Home is built with quality materials and conforms to the same housing codes as a site-built home. Modular Homes are available in a range of traditional home designs and do not resemble the one-size-fits-all boxy mobile homes. Learn More...
  8. What is the process of building a Modular Home?
First, the potential homeowner chooses a floor plan and selects from a wide variety of customizing options. Engineers review the plan to make sure everything is fine and then the factory begins building the home. When the home is approximately 80% completed, it is loaded onto a flatbed truck and delivered to the site. The home is lowered onto the foundation and fastened together. The last details such as trims, paint touch ups and connecting the plumbing are done. The whole process takes roughly three months. Learn More...
  9. What is the difference between a site-built home and a Modular Home?
The main difference between a site-built home and a Modular Home is that one is built on site, the other is built in a factory. Besides that major difference, they are very similar. Learn More...
  10. Does HomeFront offer a warranty for its homes?
